October 15, 2013 at 7:01 AM Seattle Times Christianity and vegetarianism Posted by Letters Coordinator All religions should change the way animals are treated for food Professor Charles C. Camosy wrote a terrific exposé about Christianity and the treatment of animals for food [“Christianity calls for vegetarianism,” opinion, Oct. 11]. I would like to add that it is not only Christians who should change their ways about the treatment of animals for food, but other religions as well. Muslims and Jews have some horrific ways to kill animals for food, respectively called halal and kosher. All religions should let go of animal flesh, at least once a week. It would satisfy God, Allah, Yahweh and other gods and goddesses, who would or should divinely smile upon this newly acquired compassion and wisdom. Thank you Professor Camosy for your impeccable ethics. Claudine Erlandson Shoreline COMMENTS | More in RELIGION | Topics: CAMOSY, CHRISTIANITY, VEGETARIANISM
