I once swam from the source of the Mississippi River (Misi - Ziibi) to the Gulf of Mexico as a performance and environmental statement. Sometimes, I bring Mississippi waters from the first day of that swim to mix with troubled waters from around the planet in cleansing ceremonies. While in New York City for the Peoples Climate March, I brought “Greetings from the Misi-Zibi to Mespaethes” and recorded the ritual for you.
