October 19, 2014 Sometimes, reaching out and taking someones hand is the beginning of a journey. At other times, it is allowing another to take yours. ~Vera Nazarian In life, we meet many people along the way. Some touch us deeply, some open our hearts, some teach us, some give us new meaning of perspective to different situations in life. While some people we meet, can make us feel low, angry, can also teach us lessons, but after a negative impact...we have some who take advantage of us...folk who make us feel unfree. And at times, it is our own selves making another feel as such even if we dont know it. We try our best to make a person feel special and to be a good entity in their lives, but we dont realise that we will never make a person feel exactly how they want to feel...nobody can. So then we just are able to create moments that makes it worthwhile. We often think that taking a person under our wing, means that we are there to help and support them, but in reality...its letting someone do the same for you. Every time we assist a person, we are indirectly assisting ourselves. You learn as you help, and even though the other party seems to need you the most...you begin to realise how much you needed that person...life is full of people who will gravitate towards you, and you must know that it is for reasons that involve the both of you. Lessons are taught everyday through the people we involve ourselves with...whether you think you are the purpose for their lessons and happiness...they are also the purpose of yours...so with that being said..... ASSIGNMENT Today, as you involve another, know that as you provide good on their end, their is good to come out of it for you. Know that taking someone along side of your journey, means that they are bringing you along side of theirs. Take a look at some of your involvements and relationships right now...reflect on them...did you feel that you were of help? Did you see the lesson or purpose of that situation and how it also affected you? Today, just know that you are not always the sole reason when you decide to take someone by the hand...know that they have now became the reason for you. Cherish the journeys that involve significant people...as you are there to help build, they are helping to shape your life as well...be appreciative and grateful for these new beginnings. There are lessons to be taught and you will be used. And so will they. © *Keep a Journal*
