October 2, 2014 Thursday From a Message from God Today, Elsa, we believe God wants you to know that ... you dont have to be serious to be spiritual. Laughter is good! Levity is good! When you allow yourself to be joyful, that joy radiates to all those around you. God honors you and your laughter. Life in this physical world calls for balance. Nurturing the natural faculties alone does not give that sense of equilibrium, especially when one has to contend with the many issues battering the world today. Our emotions, our psyche, our feelings, are kept in track by how we modulate our spirit, choosing the mode in which we want to navigate our daily ride. For me I choose the channel to joy, anything that lightens the mood, and there are a lot to choose from - play as the most effective medium. I have found a way of looking at things at a brighter perspective. Work for me is play, the very reason why I seem to get so absorbed because as I look closer into what Im presently doing, I get to enjoy the day-to-day encounters, be it in front of my computer, or working at my desk, or interacting with people around me at home and at the office, and most especially when I stand in front of my trainees hammering safety and security at sea. I am conscious that my words and actions are becoming very contagious from the countenance and behaviors I see around me. I even have disarmed a seemingly serious individual whom I have dragged into my own world and share the curiosity to explore the cobwebs wrapping a very challenging industry. My name means Good Cheer and I have been living up to that name, choosing to smile not frown, being vibrant than sluggish, maintaining my stamina for hours, slowing down if I need to only to replenish and resume the roll. I try to keep myself focused on the lighter side of life. And I thank my God for the insights that help me look at the positive, no matter how strong the negative force may be. Making sense of everything is a gift that enables me to foresee what lies ahead. At times, I feel uneasy and restless, but most often, I feel the excitement that aid me in creating frameworks from my visions. These seemingly enigmatic phenomena going on inside me need active spiritual nurturing to stay in the light, for the promptings of darkness are too strong that a weak-willed individual is an easy prey, succumbing to pride, arrogance, selfishness, greed, and all the lures of evil. I laugh a lot, chuckle at things - from faces to moods to actions and reactions, to behaviors and attitudes, there is no end to the humor I can virtually see in people around me. Levity is a balm for stress. Laughter is an antidote to toxicity. After all, even the rain stops to give way to sunshine. Love diffuses sadness, fears, anxieties, and everything that is ugly, so why allow misery to rule our lives? Smile a lot, laugh if you may, use your earphones if you must to cover up for laughing alone. After all, life is beautiful! A happy Thursday to all...
