October 26th & 27th, 2013 We are open this weekend both Saturday & Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm for pumpkin picking. We are opening a bit later due to the cold weather. We have lots of great carving pumpkins to choose from. At a price of 40 cents per pound you can pick out a nice big pumpkin to carve without breaking the budget. Pumpkin and gourd picking is done in a real pumpkin field straight off the vine. We supply everything you need, just make sure to wear correct foot wear. The pumpkin field is located at our strawberry shack, which is one mile down from the RT 4 and RT 72 intersection. Last night marked the end of the strawberry season. I believe it was too cold for much to have survived. Having started picking on June 6th this year, it has been quite a run. The last of the berries of the season, picked yesterday afternoon, will be available at the Litchfield farm market this morning packaged in pints. See you in the pumpkin patch. Farmer Jon
