October 27 Darwins appointment went as usual. They poked him - TopicsExpress

October 27 Darwins appointment went as usual. They poked him several times to get blood.. We have all his medicine straightened out. We called in one of his meds and the guy who took the order messed up and it never came for a good week and we were afraid it would alter his tests. We now have things back on schedule. This medicine we ordered is 1000.00 so it is a very needed one, and keeps the poison out of his stomach, so if he does not take it like he should, he gets very sick. His nurse told us some other things to try to hold him until it comes. His nurse was not very happy about the mix up and was very concerned. Friday - Saturday we had to go to Madison Wisconsin to do some work and it was fun and very interesting. Darwin is not fond of my driving lol..I need to know in advance where to turn and he was resting as I drove and I do not read maps..I knew to stay on a certain road, and he looked up and said you have to turn here..well, he said I did a 2 wheel turn and he made some noise!! Then further down the road, I almost took us to Chicago..He never told me where to go just stay on 151 and so I drove but I needed to turn. I did get us home... While we were traveling, we took our dialysis supplies with us and in the hotel it worked great. During the afternoon, he does a manual. so we took bags with us and did it as we traveled. Worked pretty good. He hooked up as normal , and as I drove I had the one bag on the floor and one on the dash. It looked like it was going slow, so I hooked it on the visor and that worked really good. We heard on the radio the promotion for Nov 2nd kidney donor promotion and that was cool. We hope alot of people participate and we get the word out for the need of donors...Well need to move on..will keep you posted if we hear any more from Iowa City..anxiously awaiting the call.. the dash. Whe he fell asleep, I moved the bag on the dash a
