October 27, Day 3 What started as a peaceful morning ended as a peaceful evening. My morning was full of me trying to email a document to one of our interns who is doing a job I delegated to him. My computer decided to make it rather difficult to email one document, but eventually it sent around lunchtime! As I was working on my laptop I was listening to music which helps me concentrate. The song, Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman came on, so I grabbed the twins and taught them how to dance by letting them stand on my feet to dance. It made me miss my Daddy who will be here in just a day and a half!! I started a small pot of chili from scratch but I didnt realize how much water the kidney beans need, even after soaking all night! My small pot of chili turned into enough to feed a family of 8. Chelsea and I enjoyed a yummy dinner. I started packing up my bags today! After 2 years of living here, its crazy to think of moving everything back to America! Its probably not a permanent move, but I just want to start fresh with my belongings. Chelsea had a job to do for our upcoming national conference, so she and I sat on our top-of-the-bunk beds and called pastors. We ended up having a giggle fit. I think we are slightly tired and hyper at the same time! // Thoroughly my seemingly boring day, I was reminded of the beauty of the little things. Our God is a God of the details. He created even the smallest and most intricate of flowers and plants and animals. The details! The beauty! How much more so should I take delight in the little things for they cause me to praise my Savior all the more! In delighting in the 4:37 seconds of dancing in the kitchen, in delighting in the frustrating moments of not being able to email, in delighting in a cup of hot cocoa enjoyed during a quiet morning, in delighting in the giggle of a child that echoes throughout the house, in delighting in a cool breeze sweeping across my sweaty brow, and in delighting in a stormy horizon as I go for a little walk, as well as the giggles that sticking a dart to your forehead causes! This is my story, this is my song: praising my Savior all the day long! This is my story, this is my song: praising my Savior all the day long. Tonight is more packing and tomorrow is more packing and visiting orphanages!
