October 27th 2013 Choices – it’s what it’s all about at the moment, what do you choose in this moment? We all have choices to make in every moment, make yours a conscious choice. Bring your awareness to each moment, open your eyes and see the choices you are making. Once you can see that everything that happens in your life is the result of your choices, not some arbitrary and random event happening to you, you are liberated! You are able to once again regain control of your life. You can direct and create your life just by being present and consciously aware. If you are finding it hard to get your head around this then take an incident where you felt things were happening to you, stand back, see the bigger picture and lose the emotional attachment. How could this have occurred differently, what choices did you make that took you down this road. Could you have responded differently? Some choices are very subtle but make this a game to see if you can find them. I often drive people crazy in my life by using the phrase “it’s your choice”, when they come to me with excuses and justifications, wanting my permission to do something (although my permission is not required, they are in fact passing responsibility over to me, which of course I hand straight back)I do not get into the drama of it, I state that is their choice and of course I will respect their free will but I will never take responsibility for it. The choices we make in life define who we are, the more conscious the choices, the more we are able to create the reality of our dreams. Bad choices are often made on autopilot, made out of habit or ignorance, emotionally based or maybe distorted through substance abuse. Look at the choices you make like directions on a map, yes you may get lost, take dead ends and sometimes find yourself going the wrong way down a one way street but if you stop, take a moment to get your bearings and be totally present in that moment, you will find your way home!
