October 31, 2014 Transition day! Snow and high winds over the lakes today and cold air spreading over the lakes now heading into the Ohio Valley and Appalachians. Still not terrible for football Friday night, just sprinkles in a blustery evening with temperatures around 40. As storm intensifies our winds increase to N 15-25 tonight and N 20-35 tomorrow with temperatures near freezing tonight and struggling to get above 40 tomorrow then a freeze tomorrow night. Sunday after Daylight Time has ended will have lighter winds, sunshine, but still only be in the mid 40s. Sunset will be 5:30 Sunday. Winds near Gary, Indiana on Lake Michigan are around 60 mph with huge waves and snow and snow will pile up over a foot in the Appalachian Mountains this weekend. Snowfall of a few inches just south of Lake Michigan and maybe an inch or two in the Central Highlands of Ohio around Mansfield.
