October 7, 2014 – A Daily Walk With God Jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire which hath a most vehement flame. Song of Solomon 8:6b Jealousy is a fierce emotion which cannot be allowed to take root in a person’s heart. We must be diligent to root out all jealousy like we’d pluck weeds from a flower garden. In my experience, jealousy, if allowed to take root in one’s heart, can distort one’s perception of reality, destroy relationships, and cause great personal sorrow.
