October 9, 2014 on the agenda of the Sullivan County Public Works committee meeting was the request by Chestnut Ridge (Lamms development) to acquire from the County by deed transfer or purchase a swath of land owned by the County for the construction of sidewalks. Approximately 8 minutes of that meeting from the audio cassette is enclosed. My question, How were the two parcels of the Chestnut Ridge development on either side of Winterton Road annexed without being contiguous (border each other). The County attorney and others admit this small swath of land is County owned an in the Town of Mamakating.
