October 9th Heres is an amazing story by Sgt Joe Pine. After reading and trying to write something to go with it i listened to the song and I myself began to cry. I realized I cant add anything to this.. even an intro isnt fitting. So all I can say is sit back and hold on to your seat. This is powerful how God uses little details to make his call so inviting and obvious. Please give this song its whole 8 minutes after reading and just ask what is gods call is on your life. I love telling the story on how I came to Christ! I joined the U.S. Navy right out of high school and instantly a whole new world opened up to me a dark world. I started drinking and partying like a rockstar. I left the navy in 2000. Then Sept. 11th happened I needed to get back in the fight so I joined the army again partying like a rockstar. I got married had two awesome kids. Then I deployed, when I got home my wife and I fought over everything. I wasnt allowed to leave the house without bringing money in ( I am a mechanic and do side jobs) I couldnt take it anymore and got a divorce and got fully custody of the kids. It wasnt till I met my best friend and now wife that I found something was missing from my life. My new wife talked about Jesus like a friend. I was raised catholic which means I went to church on Sundays because I had too. While watching tv one night I turned to my wife and said lets go to church on Sunday. She was excited with that news. That next Sunday we went to what is know our couch Christian hill community church. I was a little nervous going in seeing the TV screens and nervous to be judged by the other members. Which was so not the case! We checked the kids into Sunday school and they gave them little clip on tags with a number so if anything happened during the service. My daughter Cadence got the number 343 that is the number of firefighters that lost their life sept 11. That number is a very big part of my life its not only part of my email address but its tattooed on my shin. I was a firefighter for a short time before joining the army. Right then and there I knew God was telling me its time to come out of the darkness and into his light. The first song that was played was oceans where feet my fail it hit me like a ton of bricks I cried and felt the lords hands on my shoulder. I found your site because I was searching for hunting sites that share my passion for Christ and of hunting. I have never been happier in my life even though I have struggles I know I am not alone Christ is at my side and sometimes I am across his shoulders like a wounded warrior being rescued. Wow.
