October finished mild! Our 3 climate sites, Syracuse, Binghamton, and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre ended up 3 to 4 degrees above normal in October. For Binghamton, it was the 8th warmest (62 years of record). Syracuse and Scranton have a 100+ period of record so it was not a top ten. Rainfall was variable with slightly more rain than normal in the Finger Lakes and northern Oneida County of NY. On the flip side there was a 2 to 3 inch deficit (less than 50% of normal) from the southern Catskills to the Poconos.
