October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we here at Twenty20 - TopicsExpress

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we here at Twenty20 Cycling want to remind you to be sure and get your annual mammogram. We need all our friends and family to be around for a long time to enjoying the wonderful sport of cycling and life! For us, October isn’t about pink, but encouraging women to get their mammograms and supporting those who have been diagnosed with this insidious disease. Many of us at Twenty20 Cycling have had family or friends diagnosed with breast cancer, so this is close to our hearts. In 2012, our Monthly Women’s Ride Leader and Specialized Womens Ambassador, Leslie Miller, was diagnosed with breast cancer found on a comparative mammogram. She is cancer free today due to early diagnosis. Her message to you is to not delay and make an appointment today for your screening. If you are 40 or older (35 with a family history) get a mammogram EVERY year. For everyone, get a clinical breast exam by a physician EVERY year. Your friends at - Twenty20 Cycling Company
