October is Safe Schools Month! Join the conversation & engage your community! Here are some items to think about - During a school crisis, parents should not rush to the school. Check with your school’s emergency plan to learn where you should go to be reunited with your children. Remember to bring your identification to help the school ensure that everyone gets home safely! Do you know what your schools plan is for reuniting parents and students after an incident? If you do not know you should ask. Is transportation in your school safety plan? It is important to remember that students and staff need to be safe getting to and from school.
