Octoberfest recently awarded $21,200 to local organizations in its second round of giving for this year. Total funds awarded to date in 2014 amount to $28,5000. Grants in the most recent round of giving were awarded as follows: - $5,000 to Appleton Downtown (ADI) for their Lunch Time Live program - $1,000 to The Building for Kids Childrens Museum for their Children’s Parade - $1,000 to the Fox Cities Book Festival - $3,000 to the Markhoff Youth Ballet to fund costumes for the Nutcrackers performance $10,000 to the Mile of Music $1,200 to the YMCA of the Fox Cities for their Healthy Kids Day event. Local organizations interested in submitting a grant for the final round of giving in 2014 should complete the grant application found at octoberfestonline.org and submit the completed application before June 15, 2014.
