Odd things you remember about your mother from your childhood. Always wore a wrap around pinafore at home., never smoked in the streets or a public place, boiled our washing in a gas copper after being scrubbed on the old washing board. Her favourite cooking pots was a cast iron frying pan and bake-stone made by my father, never went out without wearing a hat. Making the rag mats out sacks and cut up cloth strips and my father making chairs out of the bunks that were in air-raid shelters, and he always wore a trilby which he would doff if he passed close a woman in the streets. The things you remember. The photos are of my mother Carlotta Moss 1899 - 1977.
