Oddly enough it only just dawned on me that this tab and peg connection design lends itself to customisation down the track. If a customer buys a gimbal next week, they can then order replacement components which either let you adapt the gimbal for a long camcorder or even an extra wide camera. Also, if any part gets and update in functionality, it will connect directly onto the existing design, saving the end user the need to buy a complete gimbal specifically for their camera shape. The first application to this idea is making longer side arms available to allow for the larger/longer camcorders. If I can sell enough in the next couple of months I should have enough cash for my own desktop CNC router, making the turn around time for custom orders a non-issue. Customers will be able to outline the exact dimensions and basic center of balance of the camera/camcorder and I can send them a gimbal that fits their camera like a glove. If they then want to change to a totally different camera, I can do the same again and allow the customer to re-use a good proportion of the gimbal parts they already own. Should be sweet.
