Oduoye Distinguished Himself As A Police Officer, Administrator -Aregbesola Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has described the death of Senator Simeon Oduoye, as sad and shocking. Odunoye reportedly passed on in the early hours of Saturday. In a statement by the Director, Bureau of Communications and Strategy, Office of the Governor, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, Aregbesola said Oduoyes death has cast shadow on the states and Nigerias political firmament. Senator Oduoye was an illustrious son of the State of Osun. He did not only distinguish himself as a police officer, who rose to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police, he also gave good account of himself as an administrator, serving in Niger, Edo and Ebonyi States as a Military Administrator. His demise will certainly leave a gap in the politics of the state and the nation at large. On behalf of myself, the state, its entire populace, we commiserate with the entire family of the late Senator. I pray that God will grant him eternal rest, Aregbesola said.
