Of all the five-fold ministry it seems, the Prophetic, has gotten a pass that enables them to misunderstand the heart of ministry! You will hear Christians (who should know better) say that because a person is a prophet or prophetic, that they, by their calling and ministry gift, are not equipped to love the sheep like the rest of the five-fold gifts! Do you really believe this? Will this hold up to the Lord on that day? Is this Scriptural? NO ... NO ... NO! NOT! To some this is an EXEMPTION to the Verses on LOVE! There is no exemption! Prophets are called to love people just like the rest of the five-fold ministry! So, unloving prophets can blame meanness on their calling and gifting! So, suspicion can be called discernment if you can say, IVE GOT A CHECK IN MY SPIRIT! So, where is the Bible Verse that references this exemption? I know its not written in RED! Its not the Jesus of the Bible! If its not said outright, it seems to be implied! Our suspicious opinions CAN RETURN VOID! We are not infallible! The seat of judging others (our judgment seat) is our highest elevation of PRIDE! 1 Cor 13:2 is not an exemption! And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing! 1 Cor 13:5 says, love does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil. But he who prophesies speaks EDIFICATION and EXHORTATION and COMFORT TO MEN! (1 Cor 14:3) No exemption for love here! Sadly, some take pride in being so hard prophetic, that they become unloving at times unconsciously! There are some prophetic ministry gifted folk that claim great fastings and prayer time alone, but dont have matching fruit! The more time we spend in prayer and fasting, the more fruitful and the more intimacy with the Holy Spirit we should manifest! If you have been in ministry for decades and fast and pray more than anybody, shouldnt we start seeing more fruit and more love? The ability to love is a fruit! Matthew 7:20 says, Therefore by their fruits you will know them. (See Todays Verse August 11, 2014)
