Of course I believe in soulmates, dreams, and abundance. I grew up to find out that much of the world we live In is constantly forced to pay attention to things that arent really important, and only publicized for personal gain. All the other stuff is a waste of everyones attention and time. Dreaming and doing what you love wont get you places, working and education will. You cant afford to do your passions anymore, and you most certainly should give them up for the opportunity of more money. Everything I thought I needed to know are things japan and China have already known and advanced beyond with. Much of what our customs and traditions consist of are just as illusionary as fairies and unicorns- check out the banking system for one. I believe in love over money. I believe in teaching over receiving. I believe in exploring over settling just to keep learning and limit the chances of Alzheimers. I believe that my health is more important than working, period. I may live a very unsatisfactory life because of choosing these things over the set ways of America, but most 80 year olds would do their life 1000x over because theyre just as unsatisfied. I want to hold memories in my brain of people smiling at me and getting to know me. I want to inspire others and be inspired- then teach and show my kids how to value the same. I want to actively show kids how to respect people and diversity rather than neglect them. I want the memories of love, joy, and happiness in the world rather than 80% of it in a cubicle working and the other 10% my family arguments and 10% vacations and Christmas parties. And I refuse to settle for anything less.
