Of course I think my kids are perfect...they are in my eyes. However I am also humble enough to realize that they are kids. The pains of growing up can be so harsh. Although I want to shelter them from every hurt they could ever experience, unfortunately, I cannot keep them in a bubble. After a very long discussion tonight about tact, we learned about why it is so important that we should always try to be respectful and to love others as God loves us. With so much hate in the world, we, as children of God, are to reflect a light of love and compassion. I pray I reinforced the fact that man may look on the outside but God only considers the heart. I learned this valuable lesson very early and Mallory now must do the same.
