Of interest to Pagans I hope? A film based on the legend of historical witch Molly Leigh. Sybil Leek claimed she was related to Molly Leigh, the Witch of Burslem. This is a film based on Molly Leigh, incorporating bits of the legend, including the grisly, superstitious & cruel grave-tampering that went on after her death. I was one of the 3 main crew members that worked on this movie, and I am Pagan. The UK has several famous witches, but the story of Molly Leigh has never appeared on film before. Im from the area and its very close to my heart. This movie won Best Drama at Portobello last year. Its an intelligent horror that is sympathetic to the persecuted woman accused of witchcraft, and the little girl with psychic powers that is bullied for being different. If youre looking for an intelligent horror based on the story of one of our ancestors, I hope you will consider supporting us (completely independent, Pagan-friendly, absolutely no involvement from the film industry).
