Of out 30 SRC councillors, only one came to the disability awareness event tonight. The only one who cared enough about those living with disabilities at Rhodes was the event planner, Lindokuhle Innocent Zungu. WOW SRC, youve outdone yourself. Let me ask the incoming councillors, particularly the SRC President (whom my so called leaders follow), where were you? And most importantly, if you and your council dont care enough to spend 30 minutes finding out where were headed in making Rhodes more accessible and accommodating, why should the rest of the student body care about this issue? Im really disappointed in all of you. We had guests tonight who looked at the 20 of us present and thought the event was a joke because how, in a university of 6000 odd people, do only 20 people care?
