In todays Wall Street Journal, there was an op-ed about some of the millions of refugees since, say, 1930 and that ONLY the Palestinians have remained refugees for any length of time. The rest of those displaced by the after-effects of WWII, in essence, resettled and got on with their lives. The millions who moved from what is now Pakistan to India -- and India to Pakistan -- those Germans from the Sudetenland who left their home countries (hell, got kicked out of their home countries) and ended up in Germany -- the millions that Stalin moved around the Soviet Union -- etc. Of all of those who got displaced, ONLY the Palestinians created a life style of being refugees.
