Of the recorded prayers in the Bible, #110 is in the Psalms (Ps. 61). Have you felt overloaded or overwhelmed lately? When David felt that way, he prayed, “Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I” (Ps. 61:1-2). He also said, “So I will sing praise to Your name forever, that I may daily perform my vows” (Ps. 61:8). The disheartened David prayed for strength and security (Ryrie).
