“Off the Beaten Path: An Authentic Berber Village Not Far From Fez” 5 5 étoiles Avis écrit le 11 juillet 2014 If youre looking for a place as close to authentic as possible for a visitor, this is it. The dar (guest house) is the creation of the hosts, Beatrice and Kamel, who put heart and soul into creating a beautiful, comfortable, home-like place for guests, using local craftsmen whenever possible. Kamel is helpful, energetic, available for guiding far and wide - whatever interests you. Breakfast on the rooftop patio is extraordinary, home prepared by the remarkable Neima, abundant, delicious. Throughout Bhalil local women gather in groups, where shade can be found, creating stunning cactus silk buttons used on traditional garments. They are friendly and open to you sitting with them....a unique experience......very different from visiting large commercial craft operations. Currently occupied cave dwellings exist throughout Bhalil and a chance to view them first hand, to appreciate them as homes, was significant. We found this to be just right for decompressing after Fez, a sweet end to an exciting trip.
