Off the Dock Muskies November is a humbling month for many musky anglers. If somehow you built up a musky ego over the past five months, November is here to fix that. If you have read my posts then you have seen Kent with lots of great big fish over the past three seasons. He has the most impressive photo album I know for someone who is a casual musky angler. Yesterday Kent added a new fish with a good story to his collection. I had been hearing stories from the local walleye guys about muskies grabbing their walleye off the dock this past week. When we hit the launch I handed Kent a rod and asked him to throw five casts off the dock. Cast number five produced this beautiful fish. We didnt see a fish for the rest of the day but both our days were made before we even headed out on the water. Another big bonus on the day was the eagle show. I have not seen a raptor out on the river for a month but yesterday they were all out hunting. Too cool The Ottawa River is so good that it gives you a fish just for showing up..... It aint over.
