Off the scale brilliant I was drawing parables off this film as to my own life... A man alone at sea...then a set of circumstance hit... The will to live is deep within all of us There are scenes in this film that startled my mind into the reaches of imagination, the beauty of the cosmos, the ebb and the flow of life... When every effort on our part fails When age is working against us When the storm beats at the very foundation of our existence, here in this place, we call home, and then the vastness all around us out on a prairie of water, becomes an inherent reflection I was praying, even though it is a film, that Robert Redford, would survive... I thought on how we pray for one another Even though, in the film, he tries to keep a calm mind the momentum of events reduced him to crying out, Jesus...God.., just under his breath, and then frustration...
