Off to Japan for this one, the Manshu Ki-98. A fast attack - TopicsExpress

Off to Japan for this one, the Manshu Ki-98. A fast attack fighter with a dual tail boom and pusher prop design, it was being worked on near the end of the war as a response to American aircraft. The final design including a supercharger was finished in 1944, but bombing and a Soviet attack on the plant stalled production in 1945 and the plane never got completed. The prototype and partly built designs were destroyed to prevent them from capture. The pilot could bail out from the top, but the designers recommended using a hatch at the bottom to avoid the prop in back and the tail boom. All three cannons stuck out of the nose of the plane because of its very short body, making it look particularly mean to me.
