Please see Biography: Dr. Frank D. Curcio is 14 year Seminole County resident. Frank is married to Karen Moss Curcio for over 25 years. Karen is a 10 Year Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) Employee and Dividend. Their children went through SCPS. Nicole and Frank II are both products of SCPS having attended Hagerty High School in Oviedo. Nicole is class of 2011, and Frankie graduated in May, 2014. Dr. Curcio is 65 years old and post his 25 year government retirement as Project Engineer and Scientist in 2006, taught Physics and Physical Science at Sanford Magnet Middle School in Sanford until 2013. Currently, Dr. Curcio works for the National Science Teachers Association, as an Outreach Specialist. Dr. Curcio was born in New Jersey and graduated from Montclair State University, in 1971, Rutgers University in 1977, and Temple University in 1988, respectfully. Dr. Curcio’s undergraduate and master’s degrees are in Physics and his doctorate is in Educational Leadership. Dr. Curcio has been a life-long advocate of public education for over 43 years, with numerous high level community outreach and Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) collaborative partnership efforts with Academia, Government and Industry, including 10+ years Board of Education elected experience, serving as President, Vice President and Education Committees, in NJ. Dr. Curcio has a total of 15 years classroom teaching experience having once been a High School Physics Teacher. Dr. Curcio wants to continue the fine tradition of academic excellence of District 1 and greater SCPS once elected to the SCPS Board of Education.
