Off to see the World Trade Center. I better bring a box of tissues as I ALWAYS cry when I go there. It is bittersweet. It feels good to let out the crying. I cry because I picture my mother running and being smothered in all the ash 2 blocks away, I cry in relief that she is alive and healthy today; yet I cry out of empathy for all who lost loved ones. I feel their loss. I cry for losing my friends, The Twin Towers who helped me to navigate my way around Manhattan in my teens when I would cut out of school to go explore; they always seemed to be such a loving presence. I also cry out of happiness when I look up at The new Tower and am amazed at his beauty and about what he stands for to me.....(to be continued. I really gotta catch the train!)
