Off to the Chiang Dao Caves and temple, playing tourist with Pat. On the drive out his battery light comes on, and a quick check reveals low water levels in the battery. A quick and easy fix, and the light is now sporadic rather than constant. Improvement? Hope so. We get to the caves, and he backs into his parking place in case we need to jump the battery. The cave is spectacular, and its a good thing we hired a guide. She has a lantern and knows her way around these caves. We have to crawl through some small openings, watching out for low hanging stalagtites, and it is awesome! But really hot inside! Thought it would be much cooler. Many tributes to Buddha throughout the cave. An hour and a half later, were back outside, and on the road to find some lunch. Find a lovely little garden cafe on the road, and our ladyboy waitress brings us wonderful food. Pat has the snakehead, a delicious albeit boney fish. I have coconut soup with shrimps. Excellent! Back to Chiang Mai fora bit of a rest, and dinner. Excellent day!
