Off to work I go. Another work day in the unit. Its coming together nicely. I love it back there. It is so peaceful and comforting. the colors are soft and calming. If I could stay back there and just focus on getting things done it would go so much faster. I truly dont understand the concept of multiple hats at a work place. it is not very productive in my eyes. the people in departments where they just do one job and that is it get so much more done. I am all over the place with billing, secretarial, appointments, SS, attending to the Dr visits and communications with them, and now this unit to head up. If I take time to work on the unit I have to make up time at the end of the day on my other jobs to stay current. That gets me in a situation where I run out of hours. The work has to be done. There are times and dates that need to be met to stay in compliance with regulations. I love working in my unit and I dont care if I am washing windows or scraping paint or moving furniture. I love it! I am so proud of what weve accomplished and I cant wait to get it open to offer this amazing service to the residents of Door County who need this type of service. Our open house will be April 30th. I am so excited! Yesterday I had several people stop by just to look at the progress and I had a Dr in the building at the same time plus I was needed to get a stat appointment ready to go all at the same time. I just dont understand that mentality. Yesterday the ED referred to me as her ward clerk. that sucked. that was the job I hated most in the whole world even though I currently carry more than 50% of that job on my plate. However, I was good at it and staff is telling me that they miss me. Perhaps if I hadnt been so abused I might have liked that job more. It was all over the place too. I never have a day that is consistent and I can plan anything in my personal life. I cooked supper for tonight last night and got done about 9 pm. At least Jarrad can whip out some potatoes and a veggie and we can warm up the pork chops and just sit down tonight. I probably better get off this computer to allow a few extra minutes of snow scraping time so I can see out the car windows to get to work...lol. Have a good day everyone. cheer up....Winter is just making a last futile effort to hang on. The spring rain will prevail. then warmer weather...yeehaw!!!
