Office Lady in Blue 01 and 02 were having lunch at the food court and I was telling Charmaine, if they do not clear their trays off the table, I will ask them to do so. Sure enough it happens. The 2 ladies stood up and prepared to walk off. Me: Excuse me, can you please clear your tray? Lady 01 stunned by the harsh voice stood still and in a pleading voice to Lady 02: He asked us to clear our tray. Lady 02: Why? There was silence and perhaps they were waiting for my civics and moral education lesson. I did not. Lady 02s single worded reply WHY instantly struck her as one who will not back down in a public place. Even if she knows she is being totally inconsiderate to the elderly cleaners in the food court, she will not do it. She just wont...and that is despite the fact that the tray counter is a mere 4 to 5m away. Am I being a hero or too righteous? Maybe but when it comes to the elderly, I do believe in giving them a hand by simply clearing your oily soupy piece of tissue and bowls to the counter.
