Office of the Executive Director August 24, 2013 GAC REINSTATES DISMISSED EMPLOYEES!! Men and women of consciousness, sons and daughters of the downtrodden across the length and breadth of our only cherished and blessed mother land Liberia. Members of the Honorable House of senate, the fourth estate, distinguished ladies and gentlemen. The above-mentioned civil society movement wishes to commend Honorable Yornblee Karngar Lawrence, senator of Grand Bassa County and her investigative Committee as well as the entire House of Senate for adhering timely to our Institution called for the unconditional reinstatement of the General Auditing Commission employees who were illegally dismissed by corrupt and unqualified former Auditor General Robert Kilby. This is a good sign that the People of Grand Bassa County confidence reposed in you are not in vain as oppose to Senator Isaac Nyenabo, who betrayed the trust and confidence of Grand Gedeans who elected him and Liberians at large. However, the movement attention has been seriously drawn to the decision of the Senate to pay the employees for only a month. We strongly believe that since in fact the Senate have consented to our argument that indeed the employees were wrongfully, illegally and unnecessarily dismissed and that the argument of Mr. Kilby that the GAC had a budgetary constraint and that the employees were unqualified academically were illusive and unjustifiable, it is compulsory that these employees receive their just and fair pay for all of the months that they were out for. These employees cannot bear the liabilities and draconian action of Mr. Kilby, at such; they must be pay for all of the months from November 2012 to August 2013. Hence, the movement wants to call on the GAC authority that, after the reinstatement of the employees, GAC Authority should publically apologize to the employees for tarnishing their hard earns academic reputation, claiming that they were unqualified educationally and there was a budgetary constraint, as well as the Liberians in General for such misleading information. Therefore, the Movement congratulates all of our young, energetic and qualify academician who stood the thirst of time peacefully amidst the evil meted out against them by one parasite and schizophrenic Kilby as they begin the journey of a new dawn in fighting fraud, waste and abuse. THE MOVEMENT REASSURES THE WORK FORCE AND THE LIBERIAN PEOPLE THAT IT REMAINS COMMITTED IN THE FIGHT AGAINST BAD LABOR PRACTICES, ILLEGAL DISMISSAL AND BAD GOVERNANCE IN LIBERIA AND THE WORLD AT LARGE.
