Officers responded to 1555 US 41 for a report of a silver Volkswagon with flat tires in the parking lot near the entrance of the business. Upon arrival, officer summoned the driver who was identified by his Indiana DL. The driver advised that while traveling WB US 30, just west of US 41, he struck an unknown object. The driver advised he then turned around and went to Walmart, assuming they had a tire service at this location. After realizing they do not, the driver advised he was going to wait in the lot until Tire Barn in Highland opened in the morning. Officers check the area described by the driver to check for debris in the roadway. Officers reported seeing a part of a UHaul truck just off of the roadway on the property of Grimmers Service. No other obvious damage was observed. Officers then cleared the scene.
