Officers search for additional witnesses and a pick-up truck after a fatal hit and run early this morning. It was reported at 12:24 a.m. at the intersection of South Orchard and West Kootenai Streets. When officers arrived, several witnesses said they saw a pick-up truck hit a man who appeared to be walking eastbound across Orchard Street. The pick-up was reportedly headed southbound on Orchard and turning west on Kootenai when the pedestrian was struck. Witnesses say the driver of the truck did not stop and was last seen headed westbound on Kootenai Street. The video is poor quality but investigators believe the pick-up truck that enters the video at 01:27 is the vehicle involved. Further identification of the deceased will be released by the Ada County Coroner upon confirmation of his identity and notification of family. Suspect Vehicle Description: Witnesses have described the vehicle involved as a dark colored lifted pick-up truck with a long bed, off road lights on top and a loud exhaust. Additional Witnesses?
