Official Press Release for BLISSFEST!! Please Share and spread the Bliss Blissfest333 “The Journey” FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Three hundred days of sunshine, a thriving cultural scene, diverse neighborhoods, and natural beauty combine for the worlds most spectacular playground; the perfect setting for Blissfest 333, August 21-24, 2014 in northwest Denver, Colorado. Blissfest 333 is a Multimedia, Cultural Arts, Film Festival Celebration. Here’s what’s happening: August 21st 6-9pm: Opening Night! Tenn Street Coffee and Books, 4418 Tennyson Street, will host the Red Carpet opening of Blissfest with “Hollywood Comes to Denver.” Colorado Springs photographer, Ralph-Michael Giordano, assembled fourteen talented Colorado actors for a unique photo shoot, resulting in “A Colorado Tribute to Classic Hollywood,” which recreates classic Hollywood photos to help promote independent filmmaking in Colorado. Come as your favorite Hollywood actor or character. Be a Star for a night and get your photo taken on the Red Carpet. Live gypsy jazz provided by Paris Swing Set. Prizes and surprises! August 22nd 6-9pm: Open Mic, hosted by Itsrealight Love, will feature poetry by Susan M. Peiffer, Wally Burkholder, and Nicole Wilkinson. All talent are welcome to perform at Tenn Street Coffee and Books. August 23rd-24th: The Blissfest International Film Festival at the Oriental Theater, 4335 W. 44th Ave., which is an anchor for the bustling Tennyson Art and Business District that serves the broad interests of Denver’s burgeoning cultural scene. The festival will be screening films from local filmmakers and additional films from around the world. The festival will feature fifteen of filmmaker David Quakenbush’s short films, projected onto a 30 x 20 screen, with live music and amazing acts by Walter the Fire Eater, who is presenting the Sideshow Carnyval with Miss Claire Voyant and more! This will be followed by a huge After-Party. It will wrap up with an Awards Ceremony Party with DJ Spencer Maple and The Lost Art. Come meet new friends, watch, listen, network, and enjoy a weekend of Bliss. Blissfest is about the Community and the Arts: Getting together in a blissful, harmonious environment. Meeting friends, artists and the community in a positive atmosphere. Blissfest333’s mission includes raising money for charitable organizations. This year we are supporting the Homeless Foundation.
