Official at US State Department discusses with Foreign Ministry officials efforts on combating human trafficking, Kartoum, Sept.4(SUNA)- The visiting delegation of the US State Department, headed by the Official of Human Trafficking at the US State Department, held a series of meetings with a number of officials at Foreign Ministry . The delegation also visited Kassala and Gadarif States in East Sudan. The American official said in a press statement at Foreign Ministry that she held meetings during her a seven-day visit with officials at the federal government and Kassala and Gadarif States, describing the meetings as constructive and fruitful. She added that she got informed during her meetings with the various institutions on the efforts being exerted by Sudan to combat human trafficking. The American official further added the meetings looked into the issue of human trafficking which, she said, has become an international and regional phenomenon, saying even the United States of America suffers from it.
