Often in life we forget how humble we ought to be and get puffed up with pride over the smallest accomplishment or achievement. However, the sight of a fallen brother or sister draws our consciousness forcefully to what we truly are - dust, and inspires or engenders that sense of humility that we always ought to walk in. No wonder the preacher wrote: "It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart." Ecclesiastes 7:2
