Often the holy spirit will show us beforehand when an attack to our mind/emotions is in the works and its a gift from God to be able to forgive before it even manifest itself. There is such a peace and joy that comes from forgiving and saying “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”. By doing this you are protecting your heart, like a soldier who always covers and protect its heart with its shield, they might move or move their shield ,but the shield will always cover their heart. As a christian our shield is our faith (Ephesians 6:14:16). Faith is based on the Word, what God is and what God says. Roman soldiers would frequently wet with water the leather covering its shield, making it resistant to the burning arrows. The shield of faith must always get wet in the the Word, and in the river of the Holy Spirit . Every arrow sent by the enemy of doubt, discouragement and lack of trust,others will not prevail against the shield of faith. Don’t leave your house without dipping your shield in the waters of prayer and in the word of God, and place your shield covering your heart and you will see a difference in your life.
