Often times I use this quotation from Joseph Stalin, dictator, of the old U.S.S.R. "Keep Them Poor,Stupid and Living in Fear." I feel that we are quickly coming upon a New Socialism in America. We are keeping the Poor,Poor!-No Jobs. Jobs are turning out to be part time flexible, as needed jobs with no guaranteed work hours. No benefits No accumulation of wealth because the pay is no where near the cost of living. Austerity budgets, do to a bad economy, caused by cavalier practices of a self regulated WallSt which led to a public taxpayer bailout, have crushed or removed safety net social programs and is hurting educational opportunities for all potential students. Knowledge is power, ignorance is bliss. No money, no education. We are living in fear, because we unwittingly caved into the loss of our right of privacy. NSA and corporations that have willingly sold or shared our personal information to anyone any country without our consent from our use of internet as the new primary source of communication, whether by land lines, iPhone, PC activity. We are at war(s), so we have War Laws like the Patriot Act Article 215 that leaves the door open for collecting data on our lives including face recognition cameras in airports, crime areas and large open public areas of congregation. A government so afraid of its citizens that it has to spy on them 24/7 and with only 51% proximity evaluation deny habeus corpus and have the individual tried in a special espionage court. One of the National Defense Acts allows the President to hold any citizen in confinement, without just cause, till he sees fit for their release. How long can we exist in an artificial democracy with homeland insecurity? I wish these war(s) were over with, eleven years of war, and if continued, the next generation will be complacent to think that this is the way of life in America. Wars without end, because of no exit strategy. We have got to seek a resolution to get our Civil Rights back, lest we forget why we were a Democracy and now be forced to live in a "Do as I say, not do as I do" type of socialist governance.
