Ogden Canyon Update The majority of construction activities are now complete on the project with the exception of the application of an asphalt-based seal coat over the new chip surface. Weather permitting, this work will be completed next week. With the potential for wet weather for the rest of this week, the project team has tentatively scheduled the seal coat for Monday, Aug. 11 and Tuesday, Aug. 12. Another update will be sent when details are finalized. Wednesday, Aug. 6: Crews will broom (sweep loose rock chips from the roadway) within project limits. One-way traffic will be directed by pilot car and motorists should expect up to 15-minute delays from 9 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. on Wednesday. No further work activities or traffic control are currently planned for the remainder of this week. Motorists with time sensitive travel should plan accordingly and consider alternate routes, such as SR-167, the Trappers Loop Highway via Interstate 84 through Weber Canyon, to expedite their trip.
