Ogun APC crisis not over Senator Adegbenga Kaka THE senator representing Ogun East senatorial district, Senator Adegbenga Kaka, has said the crisis rocking the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress is far from over. He noted that the party would continue to be enmeshed in crisis if some people in the party refused to toe the line of the APC’s constitution. He described the peace being enjoyed in the party as the “peace of the graveyard.” Kaka stated this while fielding questions from journalists at an event held to confer the Captain of Industry Award 2014 on him by the Nigerian Society for Animal Production in Abeokuta on Monday. He explained that the APC was a party of progressives, which placed high premium on discipline and ordeliness. He noted that any attempt to hijack the party for sectional interest would not be tolerated. He frowned on the situation whereby some people were parading themselves as executives of the party in the state even when congress had not taken place. The senator pointed out that such activities would not augur well for the progress of the party, particularly as the 2015 general elections approached. He said, “What is happening in our party at the state level is quite unfortunate. Can you imagine that a particular section within the party said executive positions have been zoned? “Even some have been parading themselves as executive members despite the fact that congress has not been held. “I am the secretary of the interim executive in the state and the positions are just being shared without the normal procedure, this I tell you will not surely stand.” He, however, urged party faithful in the state not to waiver, adding that the APC at the national level would meet during the week to work out logistics that would ensure a free and fair party congress which would usher in new executive council that would pilot the affairs of the party towards next year’s elections.
