Oh - if I could ask you all to say some prayers, send good thoughts, good vibes, or other things you might do when you are worried and concerned. Montgomery is under a tornado watch until 11:00 p.m. (along with many other counties here) - and its coming our way in the next couple hours. This thing has killed four people already in Mississippi - and I am so incredibly spooked by anything with the word tornado in it. Theres also a tornado warning in some parts of Alabama right now, which, to those who do not know...a watch is when conditions are right for things to happen...and a warning means -- yeah, its happening right now. Theres no place for us to go - were in this apartment like a sitting duck. I tried calling the police department to find out where we should go - as I hate these tornado things. They had no clue - they told me The Salvation Army. I told the dispatcher that I meant someplace to go thats sturdy that you go to as a tornado shelter BEFORE the tornado -- but she said that the Salvation Army was set up to take people in overnite. I again tried to explain -- but, yeah, it didnt work. I know I have gone and taken the kids to the courthouse in Wetumpka before when there were bad storms - and they had it open so people could go in there. Its a big honking building which is made out of things that dont blow over - unlike The Salvation Army which is probably made out of cardboard. Anyway...if you wouldnt mind -- Id appreciate it - and countless others would as well. I dont like scary things. :(
