Oh, Canada! Oh,Canada! Just talked with medical supplier about a bill. Aetna will not purchase my CPAP but will only rent it for 13 months? Curious? I now must pay my deductible for 2 years since in this world we have only 12 months in a year. Good news it is owned after the 13th month. It gets better, my Prescription Plan is on a 21 day cycle rather than 30 day cycle. Curious? That means I must get 17 prescriptions in a year rather than 12! 5 extra copays! Confusing for the suppliers, doctors and me but not for the Insurance Companies who have figured out ways to get in my back pocket. We should not have a profit motivated system in charge of our Healthcare. Oh, Canada I say! One System that pays for your medical care and actually advocates for the patient!
