Oh Cannabis Canada.......... In any event , the intent of the Supreme Court Order of 1998- that all rests on , will not be served , if the individuals right to have the most medically efficacious cannabis substance is blocked, by a system that would limit the variety of strain or mixed strain- something that would not be possible should the patient and/or patient with designate remain in charge of that decision. If then, a patient with a condition only responsive to a particular strain or mixed strain, a strain or mixed strain that had a relatively low yield as a further characteristic of that strain , then it is probable that access to that strain would not be possible from a big grow operation; and since superior effective relief * is what the Supreme Court Order of 98 says the charter of rights intended, and the Harper big grow reform plan by its own definition - would not tolerate, it is clear that the cannabis patient would again be put in harms way, which is exactly what is prohibited under the Charter of Rights . A federal court case revisiting these issues, and the Supreme Court Order of 1998, would/ could cause the Harper government big grow reforms to be thrown into the garbage heap of failed ideas ! In the end, the Canadian government must be made to live within the Supreme Courts Order of 1998 . For it is really much bigger then medical marijuana laws in Canada . Like many political movements , the medical cannabis communities struggle has become a metaphor for those larger issues that have caused most every person in present day Canada to feel a threat to their personal liberties. Is Canada to be a democracy of laws , with distinct branches of government , with their own particular function and authority in the society..... ...... or is it to be but one leader in the P.M s offices, deciding everything for the entire nation, regardless of what the will of the people may be, and despite even what the will of other branches of government may be?
