Oh Lord, it’s hard to be humble ……. Halloween stuff is 90% off at Walmart. I took my cart with my goodies up to a register and the lady started ringing it up. When I told her that most of the stuff was ringing up regular price she said I would have to see a manager because they don’t have calculators at the register so they can figure out what the sale price should be …. (sigh) I take my stuff to a MANAGER and he (a very nice young man) told me to go to a register and he would take care of it for me. Great! The cashier started ringing and the MANAGER whips out his CALCULATOR so he can FIGURE OUT THE PRICE on EACH individual item! Gee, let me see: if an item is $3.97 original price, 90% off makes it $0.40 – I figured all that out WITHOUT a calculator! The cashier was amazed! America is raising a bunch of mindless idiots!!! No one knows how to spell anymore because the computer performs SPELLCHECK for you; no one knows how to tell time on an antique or old fashioned clock/watch because they’re all digital now and all you have to do is read the numbers (heaven help us when talking clocks become popular); no one can figure out percentages, knows if they’re getting/giving the correct change because calculators do everything for them. Terrorists don’t need to kill people – all they need to kill is the electricity and destroy all the batteries! Everyone will be helpless. It is a crying shame and I am disgusted with it!
