Oh My God, Oh My God, she is giving birth right this very moment in her little bed I made for her yesterday! The Garagery can barely breath at the moment. Just this morning I sent four kitties off with Patricia and mentioned I had been waiting days for her to pop, gave her love and breakfast and cleaned the litter. Went in to fix the vacuum, which is blowing its fuse, walked over and blowey, one kitten. Did I leave fast? Greased Lightning is my middle name. Just went in to bring in the little orange Devore kitten that was rescued this morning, sweet thing, and tippy toed over, she was nursing a scrawny little kitten, then jumped up and began to lick herself, oh no, another one must be coming. The new little one started growling at the other cats, guess several know something is afoot, or abutt, but tension is in the air. I grabbed another big sheet and covered more of Mamas crate. She seems to know what she is doing, but I want her as calm as possible. At least one of us should be calm. I have nothing to say about the other kitties in there at the moment, other than they are all well and most seem to be wishing her good luck with the delivery. I think I need a manual on new moms, havent has one in years and years. Kittens and Mom, yes, but birthing? And she is so sweet I worry she will want to come to me more than stay with her newbies. Photos will follow as soon as she finishes. And this is the one I directly saved from being pts because she was so sweet and loving. No foster, no pledges, no hope, touched my heart while I was pulling for fosters. And that, dear folks, is why one always takes an extra carrier od two because you just know you will end up taking that one kitty that touches your heart.
